A mid-calf length gothic dress with the bodice made from purple velvet overlaid with black lace and with a black velvet back and side panels.  The bodice of the dress has shaped cups edged with braid and metal eyelet and cord corset lacing at the centre front.  The back has an elasticated ruched panel to enable a variety of fittings.  The skirt section has purple satin lining with layers of overlapping soft black lace cut to hankerchief points.  Bra-style adjustable shoulder straps.
